Revealed: N’Golo Suffered Coronavirus Symptoms

Willy Caballero has revealed that after suffering from Coronavirus symptoms, N’Golo Kante has full support from the Chelsea squad in his continued absence from the training.

The French midfielder was allowed to miss training last Wednesday due to fears about COVID-19 and his coach, Frank Lampard, was even allowed to miss out on the rest of the season.

Speaking in an Instagram Live interview with TNT Sports, Kante’s teammate and Argentine shot-stopper, Willy Caballero said the French star has full support from the squad to keep his distance because of fears surrounding the virus.

He also reported that, over the past weeks, Kante tested negative for Covid-19 but experienced ‘poor symptoms’.

The 38-year-old told TNT Sports ‘It’s really understandable.’

‘He tested negative for Covid-19 but during quarantine he had a bad time with virus symptoms which gave him the fear.

‘We love him and we’ll wait until he feels confident because the fact is that you have to feel good and feel confidence to do what we’re doing and then, once we start again, we all have to move forward together.

Kante, who has suffered from health problems in the past, fainted in training two years ago.

The 29-year-old’s older brother, Niama, died of a heart attack shortly before the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the midfielder lost his father when he was just 11 years.
