This Thief Broke Into A House To Steal And Slept Off
In the middle of his plan a robber fell asleep after breaking into the house of a TV host in Tanzania.
Confirming the incident in an interview with East Africa Radio, presenter of ITV Zanzibar, Farouk Karim said the thief scaled the fence into his compound.
The journalist added that prior to setting his sights on the power windows of the car, the thief stole shoes and clothes.
Recounting the incident, Farouk said he left home for morning exercise early in the morning only to receive a call that a thief had been found at his house.
He found the thief sleeping in his car, when he returned home.
Farouk said: “With all that he had stolen on his lap the previous night we found him deeply asleep in the car.”
The journalist said the thief may have access to the car because the doors had not been closed. He then proceeded to rob the mechanism of the power window from the side of the passenger.
Farouk added that an angry mob was gathering, ready for judgment in the jungle, but he discouraged them from doing the act.
Farouk said: “We accompanied him to the police station, as on her wedding day one will be a wife. I think he fell asleep after being happy with his loot.”
Farouk gave credit to the power of prayer in reacting to claims that voodoo must have been involved in making the thief fall asleep on the job.
He said: “Praying to God to protect you and your house is the best way to make a thief fall asleep.”
