Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are discussing a possible joint charity fight, after Iron Mike threatened a social media return to the ring.

Evander Holyfield has announced that he is in talks over a trilogy bout with former rival Mike Tyson and the pair is close to reaching an agreement.

In the last month, Tyson has teased a comeback on social media and said he’d be open to fighting for charity in four round exhibition fights.

Holyfield, who in their 1997 rematch had part of his ear bitten off by Tyson, was still considering a comeback and plans to fight Iron Mike for his foundation in a charity exhibition.

Holyfield said: “His people talked to my people and we haven’t had a good agreement together yet, but that’s the way it comes.

“If it happens, there is no problem then. The truth is, he was doing something and something else I was doing.

They saw me working out when I told people about it and they sort of put two and two together.

“They’ve got to work together to do this. But the fact of the matter is, if we do something like that I don’t mind.
